Common questions

Do I need an account to use Photolog?

No. Photolog works without signing in. Signing in with Apple enables iCloud sync between your devices, but it is optional.

How does iCloud sync work?

Photolog stores synced stacks, photos, and videos in your private iCloud database. This data counts against your iCloud storage quota. Sync is off by default and can be toggled in Settings.

Are my photos private?

Yes. Your photos and videos stay on your device unless you enable iCloud sync. When sync is enabled, they are stored in your private iCloud database. See the Privacy Policy for details.

What permissions does the app need?

Camera and microphone access are required for taking photos and recording videos. Location access is optional and only used if you enable location capture in Settings. Photo library access is requested only when you import existing photos or videos.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes all stacks, media, and synced data from this device and your iCloud. The action cannot be undone.

Does Photolog cost anything?

Photolog is free to download and use. Optional paid features may be added later, but you will be told before any charge.
